Untitled

Here I'm in library again, staring outside the window and listening to Lisa Hannigan's.
It's raining outside, it's that kind of rain that will make people feel blue and I'm enjoying the scene. Finished reading "Time Traveler's Wife" two days ago. It's a tragic and thus... a beautiful story. That's the story of life right? Happiness and sadness,  cries and joy, they all tend to be tangled in our lives.

Desafinado

Just heard a portuguese song named "Desafinado"... I love this song! Here is the English translation of the lyrics:

If you say that I sing out of tune, my love
I want you to know that this causes me great pain
Only the privileged have ears as good as yours
I only possess what God gave me

If you insist in classifying
My behavior as antimusical
I myself, lying, should argue
That this is bossa nova, that this is very natural

What you don't know, nor even suspect
Is that those that are out of tune also have a heart
I photographed you with my Rolleiflex
It exposed your enormous ingratitude

Only you will not be able to speak like this of my love
This is better than you are able to find
You with your music forgot the main thing
Is that in the chest of those out of tune
Deep within the chest beating quietly
That in the chest of those out of tune
A heart also beats

STAY, The Movie

A father had been watching day and night beside the sick-bed of
his child. After the child died, he retired to rest in an adjoining
room, but left the door ajar so that he could look from his room
into the next, where the child's body lay surrounded by tall candles.
An old man, who had been installed as a watcher, sat beside the
body, murmuring prayers. After sleeping for a few hours the father
dreamed that the child was standing by his bed, clasping his arm
and crying reproachfully: "Father, don't you see that I am
burning?" The father woke up and noticed a bright light coming
from the adjoining room. Rushing in, he found that the old man
had fallen asleep, and the sheets and one arm of the beloved body
were burnt by a fallen candle.

Video 1.0

Here I'm, at the library, not studying but watching video clips. The video clip
of the 2 greatest band performing together for an "Make Trade Fair" event.

A novel, a cd and a dvd

Went shopping at Eaton Center with Stan, Noel and Angie.
And I bought:

A cd:
Never heard of him before, but hum... sounds pretty good
when I listened to his song at HMV

A dvd:
"Stay". I just had a feeling that this will be a good movie!
I got impressed by the trailor of this movie! Please don't
let me down! Gonna watch it tonight!

A novel:
"Thank You for Smoking"
Saw somebody reading it at Starbucks a couple days ago.
The topic sounds pretty interesting and I heard this novel
is full of dark humor. And... Angie took it right after I bought
it... anyway... gonna read this after I finish reading
"Time Traveller's Wife".

Still no luck on finding my new home...
Talking about home... this is a pretty interesting conversation...
Andrew Largeman: You know that point in your life when you realize that the house that you grew up in isn't really your home anymore? All of the sudden even though you have some place where you can put your stuff, that idea of home is gone.
Sam: I still feel at home in my house.
Andrew Largeman: You'll see when you move out, it just sort of happens one day, one day and it's just gone. And you can never get it back. It's like you get homesick for a place that doesn't exist. I mean it's like this rite of passage, you know. You won't have this feeling again until you create a new idea of home for yourself, you know, for you kids, for the family you start, it's like a cycle or something. I miss the idea of it. Maybe that's all family really is. A group of people who miss the same imaginary place.

And so it is...

A song that touches numerous people's heart. Who is your blower's
daughter?

the blower's daughter by Damien Rice

and so it is
just like you said it would be
life goes easy on me
most of the time
and so it is
the shorter story
no love no glory
no hero in her skies
i can't take my eyes off of you
and so it is
just like you said it should be
we'll both forget the breeze
most of the time
and so it is
the colder water
the blower's daughter
the pupil in denial
i can't take my eyes off of you
did I say that I loathe you?
did I say that I want to
leave it all behind?
i can't take my mind off of you
my mind
'til I find somebody new
